One of the problems we come into in gmail is not able to downloading the file which is sent to us. We sometimes get emails from some addresses that are known or unknown by us. We should be careful while opening this mails. Since they can write a striking headline to make us downloading that file but send virüs in it
Google has added a feature for gmail files and it can automatically prevent downloading the files that concern virüs. With the help of these feartures, you can come off to the computer hackers. While doing this, Google has taken some file extentions to prevention.
That is why if you want to download a file and you are revented because Google reject that file extensions.
.ade, .adp, .bat, .chm, .cmd, .com, .cpl, .exe, .hta, .ins, .isp, .jar, .jse, .lib, .lnk, .mde, .msc, .msp, .mst, .pif, .scr, .sct, .shb, .sys, .vb, .vbe, .vbs, .vxd, .wsc, .wsf, .wsh
Suppose that the name of the file you want to download is ‘ladygaga’. There is also a file extension named ‘ladygaga’. If the extension of this file is one of the the files mentioned above, Gmail does not allow you to send or download that file. Such as ‘ladygaga.ade. ladygaga.axe or ladygaga.jar’ .
Even if such files are sent as zip Gmail does not accept such files.
.zip, .tar, .tgz, .taz, .z, .gz, .rar
Furthermore, do not forget that you can just send or download 25mb file through Gmail.
